This blog is going to be a breakout success and your friend is going to die.

Tell him to get some Baconnaise.

I've tried it. It's not good. Also: in before Shawn tells us how the internet ruined bacon.

I was going to make a grumpy comment about the utter tiredness of bacon-as-internet-punchline, but it appears your friend is taking the high road and actually reviewing bacon from various sources instead of just saying "LOL BACON" and posting pictures of disgusting bacon-wrapped foods. Good on him.

I have had Nueske's ham before, but not their bacon.

one of my favorite restaurants in this area exclusively uses Nueske's bacon on all of their bacon-enhanced menu items. it's real nice stuff!

I still have two jars of my three jar purchase.

Oh Jeremy. What will he think of next?

It's been way too long since I've had some freshly cooked bacon.

I still have 2.5, I could never finish the first. I wonder if my family purged them from the house yet. It's been... so very long. Also, looks like Squid Brand beat Shawn to it!

He served me slow-cooked Nueske's last weekend.

Before this, I thought of bacon as a kind of crunchy slate from which I could draw only the smallest, most desperate gasps of flavor. Nueske's certainly overturned that perception; however, this was not just "good bacon." It is no overstatement to say it far exceeded all that I had ever imagined bacon could even be: texture pillowy and inviting; flavor a gestalt of euphoric heights, a symphony of sultry whispers.

It did not instill me with a happy feeling.
