I had no idea that Kraft was rereleasing the Kool-Aid flavors from the late 80's - early 90's that had the animal mascots. You know, Purplesaurus Rex, Sharkleberry Fin, and so on.

If you don't believe me, check out the Kraft Products locator (http://www.kraftrecipes.com/products/productlocator)and hope there is something nearby (or go to Amazon and order a 192 packets)

So know that everybody is finally aware, what flavors do you want? Which ones are actually in your area?

I don't know if I want to drink this.

I got some Sharkleberry Fin from some friends... quite a bit, actually, but none of the others -- including my favorite of the lot, Purplesaurus Rex.

One I miss from waaaay back in the day is Mountain Berry Punch.

Anyway, Dinosaur Dracula (http://dinosaurdracula.com/blog/kool-aid-flavors-return/) has a whole thing about the five returning flavors from a year ago.

Remember when they tried to modernize the Kool-Aid mascot by making him unenthusiastic and snarky? Oh yuck is more like it.

P. Rex is lemonade and grape, in equal ratios. In case you can't get your hands on any officially and want to make your own bootleg Koolshine, I mean.

I still drink it, I just use Splenda instead of sugar. My old gross mouth can't tell the difference, really, I love that junk.

I can't drink sugar sludge beverage if it's not carbonated

this is definitely for the best

So I know I said Kool-Aid was bringing back the animal flavors, but it looks like they did it a year ago and it was for a limited time only. Time to check the place food goes after it leaves regular store shelves: the 99 cent stores.

Was never really able to have Kool-Aid much when I was younger, whatever red dye they used in most of the flavors (and Hawaiian Punch for that matter) seemed to cause me to get sick not too long after with pretty frequent regularity.

My friends always had Kool-Aid at their house back when we were in High School. I never got it. It's colored water with sugar in it, right? Just drink some juice.
