So yesterday I posted something in ALL CAPS (DON'T COPY THAT FLOPPY). I came back later to find it was in proper case.

Today I posted the word 'please' three times consecutively (pleasepleaseplease). I come back to the thread an hour later to find that it's been changed to a single 'please'.

Is this a vBulletin 'feature'?

Do you really think forum software is that intelligent? *Bad Skynet joke here*

I'm more concerned that it's going to wind up changing something useful than my retardisms, but yes, I'd like to believe software can be that intelligent.

It's just simple scripting. I can see it being useful on boards that are actually populated by 'tards, (most of them) but I think it's unnecessary here at TT. Still, it's probably activated by default.

Right. It seems fair to assume we are all -mostly- civilised gentlepeople here.

This could be bad for philliam.

I thought Lord Parish would take care of that.

Censorship? In Pit of Flames?

Why, I never.

This thread is almost pleasingly quaint and refreshingly old-fashioned, now.

These days, I would just expect our benevolent overlords mods to edit these sorts of things, rather than something as blasť as text detection software.

Maybe that's just what they want you to think! Maybe our "mods" are actually just software themselves! It's all a trick!

Thank god. Every time I see one of these old threads are bumped, I'm in absolute mortal terror that I'll have posted in it.

Reading my old posts is a lot like that horrible shudder you get when you're in the shower making up songs and realize that you've just sung pretty much the dumbest verses in human history (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ClCpfeIELw). That deep, gnawing ache in the pit of your stomach.

Also, this, completely. Me of seven or eight years ago was a terrible person.
