So work gave me a new laptop the other day, and I think I need to put an awesome Government-themed wallpaper on it, so I'm looking for suggestions/submissions.

Right now my current favorite idea is modifying an Elite Beat Agents one, to say "Department of Labor" instead, but I'm open to other ideas. I won't be able to find one and modify it myself until I have access to Photoshop on Friday again, anyway.

Something like this (http://www.vooks.net/wallpapers/EliteBeatAgentsWallpaper_1024.jpg)?

I could photoshop it quickly for you if youd like

I'm actually playing Snatcher right now and that was the first thing I thought of.
You just saved me the trouble of opening Photoshop.

Maybe a picture of The Turks? Actually the government would be a lot more fun if all its departments were populated with Turk-like people. And if there's ever a mistake, people would just shrug and say "Well, it's the Turks."

Also their theme music would be awesome.

The Turks? I can see that. Y'see, if you edit out the logo, then Sephiroth, Zack, and Cloud, the Before Crisis (http://www.the-weaving.com/images/temp/ff7ac-poster.jpg) wallpapers (http://www.the-weaving.com/images/temp/wall-001-1280.jpg) could actually prove useful.

Since you can't nest quotes here, uh, bandwagon I guess.

(But I kid. I'd never heard of Snatcher until a month or two ago when everyone started freaking out about Kojima and Suda-51 or whatever making a big fuss over a radio drama. Then suddenly it was one of the bestest things evar. I'm pretty sure a rift in the space-time continuum was involved, since this game clearly never existed before then.)

Really? I first played it last summer, but how I came about learning of it is beyond me. I think its one of the best Sega CD games that ever came out.

I was going to wait until I finished to do a proper review, but here are my impressions so far: As a text adventure it's pretty satisfying and it holds up really well for what is, essentially, a 19 year old game. Look for clues, investigate your surroundings, interrogate suspects. I keep thinking what an amazing Wii game this would be. The animations are cool and the voice acting is much better than anything recorded in 1994 has a right to be. The sound in general is really excellent and uses RST sound to create pseudo-3D effects form stereo speakers. This game probably sounds amazing on a proper system. The story is complete rubbish. It's like Blade Runner had an orgy with every anime cliche ever and had a baby. I'm not particularly versed in Metal Gear Solid lore so I may be be off base, but imagine all the inconsistencies and batshit insane logic of that series only it's written by a less experienced Hideo Kojima. I'm sure the idea of a remake is rumbling around his head somewhere. All of the elements of a great story are there, it just needs a lot of editing.

It is definitely the best Sega CD game I've played, but that's damning with faint praise.

The ratings system was different back in the old days, it wasn't E, T, M, AO, like it is now. I don't even remember what it was, but we had age number categories instead of T and M. I think it went something like K-A (Kids or Above), 13+, 18+, and AO.

I replayed Snatcher about 4 or 5 months ago. Still awesome despite how short it is once you know it.

Well Sega had different ratings systems. But on the box of Snatcher the rating reads Teen with a giant T.

Sega used the VRC: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Videogame_Rating_Council. However, Snatcher came out after they stopped using it and switched to ESRB.
