OK, I have been negligent with moderating users lately, and the result was hundreds of spambots with a tiny handful of legit users. I've made a fresh start by wiping the cue. Now! If you wish to register for Talking Time, here is how:

1. Read the message below.

Sorry to everyone who's been waiting to join. I will be more diligent this time around.

Now that Parish has given me the keys to the kingdom, there's a new procedure for getting registrations through. It's basically the old one, with a minor change.

1. Register as a new user per usual and follow the directions in the activation email. If you do this correctly, it will direct you back here. To complete your registration follow the remaining steps below.
2. Email me at kdadam@gmail.com with your new user name and the email address you used for your registration within 24 hours of registering.
3. Give me a few days before testily reminding me that you registered.
4. Wait until you get your approval email (check your spam folder if you don't see it).
5. Begin posting, but not in the form of an "intro post" or thread. We don't do that here.

Bump for any new people that haven't seen this. I'm planning to purge most of the long time members of the queue in the next few days. If you're registered but not yet activated because you didn't do the above, do so soon or risk oblivion.

Bumping this since we have a lot of new registerees that don't seem to have read the email they got. I presume that they would like to be full members rather than just do the limbo.
