Hey so I just spent part of the morning taking some Photos of my warhammer 40k models, though I'll probably put some random fantasy stuff in later on too. I'm not a great photographer, some some of the shots aren't great, and I was borrowing an older camera. I don't actually have one myself!

I've pretty much only taken photos of the completely finished models. Nearly everything in my collection is actually painted, but I omitted them because they aren't based or don't have highlights yet. I've only got about 16 models left to paint. Just when I was getting really close my bro gives me 10 orks. I can dream of a day when everything is done at least!

I'll start with Orks. The paint scheme is simply "party colored". They wear every color of the rainbow, happily. This covers everything except for 10 stormboys who aren't based yet. Here's the mob that forms the solid body of my army and ensures it's almost numerically impossible to kill enough before they crash into you. 'Ard Boys in the front, and many models sport small conversions.

I made an exception for these guys (who aren't based) because they just kick too much ass. Killa Kans are easily my favorite Ork model, and the new box is phenomenal. The yellow Kan is built on the old metal kit, and two of them have converted grotzookas to go with the official one. A fantastic gun.

Tankbusters, 3 of them with converted Rokkit Launchers

Grots and a Runtherd. They have yet to survive a game, but they routed a unit in assault once.

My Nobs, unfortunately nothing too interesting, just the Blackreach crew.

A mix of new and old Burners

Looters, another fun kit to build and paint.

Ork truck converted from a kit for the crappiest looking chinese tank I could find. Red paint job natch.

Weirdboy converted from the old metal warboss.

Warboss in mega-armor converted from the new plastic warboss. Attack squig included.

Blackreach Deffkoptas.

The Dread. Old metal kit, I like his target.

That's all for the orks!

Here comes the Tau. This is my first army, and it's the largest and least finished one to boot. There are 7 Pathfinders, 4 Crisis suits, 6 Stealth suits, 1 Devilfish, 1 Hammerhead, 1 ethereal, 12 Kroot, 4 Pirhanas and an estimated 6,248 drones that need highlights and basing.

Here's my original commander with Plasma Rifle and Fusion Blaster. He's been replaced since the new commander box came out, so now he's a one-man suicide unit. He's got a sporty conversion for power cables.

A Pirhana. I run a full squadron of 5, but only one has highlights. You'll have to use your imagination.

My Firewarriors' ride.

My Pathfinders' ride. It's got some attempt at camo stripes that look sweet, but are entirely impractical.

One of two hammerheads I run with Ion Cannons.

The Third heavy weapons choice is...yet another hammerhead, but this has the legendary railgun mounted.

Firewarriors with Pulse Rifles

Firewarriors with a mix of Rifles and Carbines. I only run two teams, both mounted in transports.

An etheral I never use, protected by a shield drone and a prayer.

The old metal stealth suits. I'll eventually stop using them when I finish painting the 6 new plastic ones I have.

Most of my Kroot, there are 12 more that haven't been based.

Here's my fledgeling Chaos Space Marine force. It may look small but it's actually about 1000 points since it's made mostly of Thousand Sons at the moment.

Here's Ahriman, he's a complete badass. I generally avoid unique characters, but this is my third army so I said what the hell I'll give it a try.

Here's a pair of Chaos Spawn. These are immensely fun kits to build and paint. They look great with a simple paint job, and you can play with the bits and color all you want. I'm going to have a lot of these.

Here's a sorceror with several marines backing him up. There are three such units.

Here's everyone together. I think this was the first photo I took and I hadn't found the macro button yet. Oh well, I'll do another picture sometime when I add to it.

The chaos army is going to be growing soon, since I am trading for some models from Falselogic that will eventually be some Night Lords chosen units to outflank the enemy, and some Thousand Sons converted terminators.

I love the worn look on the corners of the crisis suits.

Oh, when you say "models", you mean miniatures. not that those aren't cool, but when I read the thread title I was thinking something more like this:

Of course, now I have to admit that that one is actually my wife's. I own a bunch of model kits, but have hardly managed to find the time to actually get around to making any of them.... especially since if you want the older ones to actually come out looking good you really need to paint them, at which point (as I'm sure you mini folks know) it can get seriously time-consuming.

None of my army, but here's a superheavy gunship I've been working on.

Wow, what is that called? The term "superheavy gunship" makes me think it's something from forgeworld.

I call it a Moray, but we just use it as a Tigershark AX-10, though it's about as big as a Manta. The main gun fires either strength D AP 1 titan-killer rounds, or S7 AP3 10" blasts anywhere on the table. Twin-linked. It's not as tough as it looks, but there isn't currently a stat block for anything between a Tigershark and Manta. I just assume it pulls out for repairs after taking its two structure points.

And it's not from Forgeworld, I just scratch built it from a bunch of old toys and bitz. Mostly GI-Joe and Transformers.
