View Full Version : In Memorium of Paul le Fou

03-12-2012, 06:38 AM
Ladies and Gentlemen, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of Paul le Fou, who was tragically taken from us before his time by Le*pards.

Requiescat in Pace

In life, he laughed, loved, and lost as we all will.* He was characterized by his belief that all creatures, great and small, were capable of love and compassion, no matter how horrible.

I am not afraid. The beast wants to be loved. I will touch its cold murderous heart and bring it into the light! Wish me luck, friends. I go to do the good deed you thought undoable!

May angels fly him home.

He died as all true men die.

How else are they supposed to balance the weight in the trees?

Now we'll never know what birds are.

Now we'll never know what birds are.

Or we will, because the terrible secret he's been covering up will emerge!

He's with the angels now. Or he would be, if Le*pards didn't also devour souls.

03-12-2012, 08:45 AM
I never liked him anyway. In retrospect, he was pretty stingy with the party times.

It was either him or me, and I certainly didn't want to suffer that fate.

It was both of you. You are already dead.

He died as he lived: screaming.

Friends. Tyrants. Countrymen... even those of you in japan.

I come to bury Paul, not to praise him.

For holy fuck, why would you ever get close to a le*pard!?!? Dude was crazy.

03-12-2012, 08:46 PM
Now we'll never know what birds are.

I am better off than he is - for he knows nothing, and thinks that he knows. I neither know nor think that I know, though I'm pretty sure I know that he was eaten by a leopard and I was not.

03-12-2012, 09:07 PM
The next time I see that car down the street with that leopard-print steering wheel cover, I will think of Paul, and of his sacrifice.

It is true. All great men wear leotards when they set off to attempt the impossible.

But now Paul will never dance again. Not even his greatest gift could save him.

03-13-2012, 01:46 AM
I knew him, my fellow Tyrants: a fellow
of infinite jest, of most excellent taste.

Where be his posts now? Your avatar?
Your tales of Nippon? Your flashes of angst,
that were wont to set whole threads on a roar?

To what base uses we may return! Why may
not imagination trace the noble dust of Paul le Fou,
till he find it stopping a leapord's bung-hole?

03-13-2012, 06:15 AM
He's running from le*pards in Heaven now. With G-d. Who is also a leop*rd.

03-13-2012, 12:37 PM
The sight is dismal;
And our affairs from SoCal come too late:
The eyes are senseless that should give our posts reading,
To tell him his prediction is fulfill'd,
That Fouencrantz and Paulenstern are dead.

[Exeunt, pursued by a Le*pard]

For Le Fou is dead, dead ere his prime,
Young Le Fou, and hath not left his peer:
Who would not sing for Le Fou? he knew
Himself to sing, and build the lofty rhyme.
He must not flote upon his watry bear
Unwept, and welter to the parching wind,
Without the meed of som melodious tear.

EDIT: I got poetry all up in here today.

Paul the insane, a fortnight dead,
Forgot the cry of Tyrants, and the tall tree sway
And the profit and loss.
A breeze above the sea
Rustled his bones in whispers. As he rose and fell
He passed the stages of his age and youth
Entering the jaws.
Gentile or Jew
O you who tie the lace and look to treeward,
Consider Paul, who was once handsome and tall as you.

Hey guys, I come from beyond the grave with important news. I've had to fight my way through all sorts of extra-headed dogs and great ogres and giants to bring you this information. I know not how long I can stay, but I will hang on until my ghostly hands can grip no more. Such was the import of my mission. So now, my report:

Did you know that Le*pards are also spotted on the inside?

They also literally have no heart. I think it was a core of pulsing dread, but a mere glance twisted my mind and I could only see screams, smell blackness, and hear the stench of hell as I passed it, so I couldn't get a very good idea. When you are all inevitably eaten by Le*pards, try and get a good look!

Unless every member of Talking Time weeps for Paul he'll be sent back to the underworld. So get to it!

I'm sorry, I tried to get everyone to do it but Loki won't!
