Inspired by listening to the following songs this afternoon:

Luna- Chinatown (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgH6fIXDAxE)

You're out all night, chasing girlies
You're late for work, and you go home earlies

New Order- Thieves Like Us (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fc1ldXDJicY)

Love is found in the east and the west
But when love is at home, it's the best
Love is the cure for every evil
Love is the air that supports the eagle

"Hey There Delilah." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_m-BjrxmgI) A singer just be able to get away with stilted lyrics like this:

I'd write it all
Even more in love with me you'd fall
We'd have it all

...if he didn't sound so insufferably sincere. Augh. Nails on a goddamned chalkboard.

The Motown CD box set is a good listen but it led to me actually paying attention to the words in "The Way You Do The Things You Do." Some songs are best left in that half-familiar state where you just sing along to the choruses.
