Honestly. Does the man want to kill us all? Would it kill him to play ball just a little? We're not invincible for chrissakes.

Argh. This just breaks through that wall of outrage fatigue everybody's been talking about.

So Russia is getting fussy over missle defense systems. There's a shocker.

What really irks me is that this is the exact same thing from before that stupid little meeting between Putin and King George. Which was apparently completely pointless because Bush is unwilling to listen to anyone about anything. So now we have the exact same standoff again, and the Russians are making threatening noises again.

Argh.

I don't see this as being that big of a deal, considering "experts agree it's an empty threat" or whatever. I dunno, I guess waving missiles around is never a little deal. Maybe everyone is just watching too much 24?

I like the diagram "How defense systems work"

Except when they don't (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A700-2004Dec15.html).

meh. this one, for once, isnt just our fault. Putin is posturing around to raise his own value in the public eye. don't forget that he's a grade-A douche too.

Ain't that the truth.

I don't suppose we have a genius expatriate rocket scientist we can hand over to placate them, do we?

Heh.

Personally I think the missile defense idea should have died out a long, long time ago.

Oh, pfft. You're just saying that because it's just about impossible to make one that would work well enough to make a real difference.

Anyone with half a brain knows you'd want at least three.
