I'll be attending to the red carpet screening of Hellboy II tonight and, as far as I know, del Toro will be there. If everything goes right, I might even get a chance for an interview for my comics blog :P

My friend is on a first name basis with Guillermo.

I hate you both.

(Which means have fun!)

Ask him what the hell's going to happen in the movie between The Hobbit and LotR.

"Dude, the Pale Man (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9YD2PFF31E). What the HELL!?"

...OK, not really.

DEMAND THAT HE MAKE AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS

SECONDED

Also give him a high five and tell him he made the best horror movies since Cronenberg in the '80s.

Both of these things. Also, tell him that he's pretty cool.

Ask him why the hell there's going to be a movie that's set between The Hobbit and LotR.

Well, money I guess. Nevermind.

Man, I'm late. I would've asked to tell him that I want (to eat) a thousand of his babies.

He probably won't mention me.

He mentioned you, Brandon, but Guillermo forgot all about you and had to be reminded who you were.

Yeah. What a jerk.

Edit: Damn you again, Mr. Paul! Quit posting right before me!

Yeah, he said you inspired one of the characters in Labyrinth.

Didn't say which one, though. :o

Ask him if he feels like his status as "The Coolest Latin-American in Hollywood" is threatened by those Dos Equis commercials featuring "The Most Interesting Man in the World".

I could ask him myself, being that he lives about five minutes away from me, but I'm afraid that he has disturbing mythological creatures guarding his home.

:(

I did see him but he just ran away and I couldn't talk to him. A friend of mine who is this hellboy and del toro fanboy could and got some things autographed, so maybe it wasn't a total loss, then.

He managed to run away? His gravity should have pulled you towards him.

To be fair, it's hard to talk to the director of a movie at a screening. Every journalist with a pulse was probably trying to get a piece del Toro.

At least you'll know to take the bull by the horns next time. Eh? Eh?

By the way, what did you think of the movie?

It was okay. Not great or anything, just fun. The pacing was somewhat wierd, but nothing I couldn't handle.

Awww :(

No crazy Pan Labyrinth-style art direction, costuming and awesome monsters to make it more than just fun? I was expecting something on the scale of The Dark Crystal (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083791/) here.
