Anything with Red Text is a replay of something I've beaten before.

January - 3
  • Halo 3 (XBONE): Completed on 07Jan2016. Replayed this via the Master Chief Collection. I think I started this replay back in November or so. Finally finished it off and kind of surprised that the "Cortana" level wasn't quite AS annoying as I remembered it being. All in all this was good fun.
  • Her Story (Steam): Completed on 10Jan2016. Pretty interesting and I dug the interface. It was a cool thing to play with for a couple of hours.
  • Halo 3: ODST (XBONE): Completed on 10Jan2016. Played this before, but never beat it until now. I dug it a lot since it doesn't delve too heavily into typical Halo lore (Halos, oracles, forerunners, etc).
February - 6
  • Firewatch (Steam): Completed on 11Feb2016. Pretty well written with regard to overall scenario and dialogue and beautiful art style. I'm tempted to call in "breezy" as far as the amount of time you play it (in a good way) but some of the topics this game hits you with, especially right at the start, make that feel inappropriate.
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (PS4): Completed on 15Feb2016. Finally returned to this after about 8 or 9 months and ended up having a lot of fun with it. Responsive controls and although I didn't really care for the episodic format, I appreciate Capcom trying something new. It's a shame it didn't seem to make a bigger impact.
  • Street Fighter V (PS4): Completed on 16Feb2016. Cleared the "story" stuff for every character that's currently included and counting it. Also cleared Survival on Easy with about 5 characters so far...why are the higher difficulties sooooo long?
  • XCOM 2 (Steam): Completed on 20Feb2016. Ended up abandoning my first playthrough attempt after about 10 hours and then saw it through to completion after that. The game itself is great and here's hoping the jankiness that is currently present gets cleaned up. Overall, nothing too bad, but once I started installing mods, I was running into a couple of crashes to desktop...and oh man is that last mission janky.
I will say that XCOM 2 will likely stay installed for a long time so I can dive back in every once in a while for new mods or additional runs when it's a little more tightened up.
  • Far Cry 3 (PC): Completed on 27Feb2016. Finally returned to this on PC after 3 years or so. It was fun overall, even if the story got pretty dumb.
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (WiiUVC): Completed on 29Feb2016...for the first time ever! I'm not sure why, but I always lost steam around dungeon 5 or 6 in my attempts over the years (although I never owned this one for some reason in the old SNES days). Pretty great overall, but man those last couple of dungeons just throw all the most annoying and shitty enemies/traps at you.

March - 1
  • Devil May Cry 4 (Steam): Completed on 26Mar2016. Finally stuck with this beyond the first couple of chapters to complete it. It was a good deal of fun and I dug Nero's ability to grab. I get the complaints about running through the same stages with Dante but it didn't bother me much...probably since I knew what I was getting into. I do wish I had more time to mess around with some of the weapons you unlock though as they looked pretty neat. On the other hand, it seemed like the number of moves for each was reduced from DMC 3.
April - 5
  • Hyper Light Drifter (Steam): Completed on 02Apr2016. Awesome style to this game between the art direction, music and overall aesthetic. I had a lot of fun exploring and picking up/learning the controls...especially with getting the hang of the Chain Dash (is that the official name? I kind of want to call it the Hyper Step). I unlocked New Game + as well, so it'll be interesting to see how much more of a challenge it'll be this way.
  • Just Cause 3 (Xbox One): Completed on 02Apr2016. This was the first game in this series that I really put much time into. It was fun and looked fantastic, especially the explosions. It was pretty buggy at launch as I had multiple hard crashes, but it's been cleaned up a fair amount. Load times can still be pretty long and it took me a while to get used to the driving control but there's a lot of fun to be had here once you get used to the game's style.
  • Gears of War: Ultimate Edition (Xbox One): Completed on 09Apr2016. Counting this as a replay since there's no differences from the 360 version. Still pretty good, but the forced "walk and talk" segments hurt the pacing. I'm guessing those were put in to cover for load times, but they are really annoying to me. I'd rather they just take away all control from me in those moments.
  • Dark Souls III (Steam): Completed on 23Apr2016. I had a lot of fun with this. A bit of familiarity mixed in with some interesting bosses. I really should try another weapon other than katanas though.
  • Ratchet & Clank (PS4): Completed on 23Apr2016. The weapons were neat and it was pretty fun. The humor didn't really click with me as much as I've heard it touted from fans of the series, but this was a solid game.

May - 3
  • Bloodborne (PS4): Completed on 05May2016. I like how much this game kept you guessing and toyed with expectations to reveal that something much more mysterious and otherworldly is going on. Still not really used to not having a shield but I had fun and did alright against most bosses.
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (PS4): Completed on 12May2016. Looks amazing and controls better than the previous games in the series. Definitely worth checking out if you like these types of games or even just watching someone else play them.
  • Doom (2016) (Steam): Completed on 14May2016. Fun and fast paced with solid controls. Really glad this turned out as well as it did as I definitely had doubts until I started to see impressions come up. Campaign took about 9 hrs according to the Steam clock, so not as long as Wolfentstein: The New Order, but a sizeable amount of content here.
June - 2
  • Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and The Blight Below (PS4): Completed on 01Jun2016. Blazed through this and the Dragon Quest trappings definitely helped me do so. Relatively basic gameplay, but satisfying enough to put the time into. Very forgettable story though as I found myself skipping through much of it.
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt: Hearts of Stone (PS4): Completed on 05Jun2016. Returned to this game for the DLC and cleared Hearts of Stone. Also cleared up a bunch of trophies and will probably go for the platinum. Blood and Wine is next!

July - 3
  • Inside (XBox One): Completed on 16Jul2016. Off to a slow month, but this was a neat, weird and short experience.
  • Gears of War 3 (XBox One/Xbox 360 BC): Completed on 24Jul2016. Never really got into the third one until now. It was more dumb fun from the Gears series. Looking forward to 4.
  • Dark Souls (PS3): Completed on 24Jul2016. Finally returned and finished this one off. While I get why it gets so much love from people, the rough edges at points (including collision detection at points and funky things like input presses being off/being a button press behind what you've actually pressed) take this down a notch for me. While there are still some rough edges in the sequels/Bloodborne, they're a bit more polished up overall. Now to return to Demon's Souls and finish that one off.

August - 2
  • No Man's Sky (PS4): Completed on 19Aug2016. Mostly relaxing fun, other than when the game would crash. Popped the platinum trophy and that's enough for me to say this has been beaten.
  • Dark Souls III (XBONE): Completed on 26Aug2016. Had already dived into this on XBone again and was spurred on by the DLC announcement. Also looking into probably getting all of the achievements here.

September - 1
  • Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4): Completed on 20Sep2016. Played through again to pick up the remaining trophies and to get the platinum. I still like this game a good deal.
October - 3
  • Gears of War 4 (XBONE): Completed on 08Oct2016. Started a bit slow, but had some neat things. Looks and controls great and standard campy/dumb story. Lots of fun.
  • Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel (XBONE): Completed on 30Oct2016. Didn't care much for the first section of the DLC, but it came together pretty well. Overall, it's on the short side, but what's here was pretty good.
  • HITMAN (Steam): Completed on 31Oct2016. Wrapped up Season 1 and this was a pleasant surprise over the year. Much easier to control and some entertaining scenarios to pull off. Looking forward to what comes up in the next season. I also dug the episodic release schedule as it got me to come back to the game once in a while over time, which is more than can be said about most games. It helps that the team kept a pretty good schedule of content.

November - 0

December - 3
  • Titanfall 2 (PC): Completed on 11Dec2016. This was an ok campaign. Diving some more into multiplayer, but this is secondary to Battlefield 1.
  • Batman: A Telltale Series (PS4): Completed on 17Dec2016. Some unexpected twists to the standard Batman tale. Was a good run through, but man Telltale needs to work on their engine. A couple of crashes and stutters all over the place were pretty annoying.
  • Final Fantasy XV (XBONE): Completed on 19Dec2016. Oddly disjointed in the second half or so, but was still fun and a neat experience to play through. And typical for Final Fantasy, the story get's pretty nonsensical.
2016 Total: 32
2015 Total: 28
2014 Total: 26
2013 Total: 25
2012 Total: 35
Backloggery (I still have a lot of Steam games I haven't added, but I'm getting there and pretty accurate with console games).

I enjoyed this last year, so I'm happy to do it again! I've set a goal for 20 games this year thanks to my job, but I wouldn't complain if I could top that. Since I'm pass three quarters of the way before June is over, I'm going to up my goal to 30. Really gonna work on the backlog this year; started too many games and not finished them. XD

In Progress:
Suikoden II

January (4)
Elevator Action Returns (two player with my ex)
Puchi Curat (Beginner, but I still cleared it! )
Never Alone (co-op)
Fallout: New Vegas (main game, NCR path)

February (4)
Super Mario Maker (I unlocked all of the stuff to tinker with, isn't really a game one "beats", but I feel like I'm at a point where I can say I accomplished what I wanted for now)
Shadow Hearts
Virtua Fighter 4 (Vanessa in Arcade on Normal)
Portal 2 (co-op completed)

March (2)
Strider 2 (beaten with no time limit)
Year Walk

April (2)
Cyberbots (Jin's Blodia path on Normal)
Darkstalkers 3 (Bishamon on Normal)

May (2)
Resident Evil 6 (three main campaigns in co-op)
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (100%)

June (4)
Zelda: Twilight Princess HD (not 100%, but not too far off)
Elevator Action Returns (this time with my [gack])
The Last Door Season 1 (all four episodes)
Freedom Planet (Carol's path on Classic/Normal)

18/30 midway through!

July (3)
Suikoden (all 108 Stars)
Streets of Rage (2 player, on easy)
Metal Slug X (2 player, on normal)

August (3)
Three Wonders: Midnight Wanderers (2 player)
The Last of Us: Left Behind (Easy)
Another World: 20th Anniversary (Easy)

September (0)

October (2)
Octodad: Dadliest Catch (half co-op, half single)
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Normal, New File)

November (3)
XCOM: Enemy Within (Normal, all the way through this time)
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom (Normal)
Sin & Punishment: Star Successor (Easy)

December (1)
Marvel Vs. Capcom (4 stars)
Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (normal)
Street Fighter Alpha 3 (normal, with my World Tour Sakura)

30 games total
2015 Goal: 35/35

Last year was pretty okay for me, not bad but not really great either. And games wise I could have finished more but I had worse years (as seen below). For this year I hope to play and finish some interesting ones I have laying around for a longer time, especially some FMV games (again) and 3DS games.

Games in progress:

Games I have and want to play this year:
  • Finish at least one FMV adventure (i.e. The Pandora Directive, Tesla Effect or Darkstar)
  • Play some Zork games
  • Finish Etrian Odyssey 1, 4 and/or Untold
  • Max Payne 2 (replay)
  • Max Payne 3

January (3 (2 replayed))
2016-01-01: Kirby's Dream Land (GBA SP/GB Retail Cartridge): Like every year on New Year's, I played my old Kirby's Dream Land cartridge on my GBA SP (I can't stand displays without lighting so I normally don't play on my original Game Boy any more). This year I wasn't really into it, no idea why.
2016-01-03: Her Story (PC/Steam): I'm not sure how to define completion for Her Story, but I've seen all clips and got all achievements so I think I'm done with it. I wouldn't really define it as a game, but it's not like I think if it is important if something is considered a game or not. For those who don't know the game, the narrative is told in police interview clips (only the answers not the questions) of a woman whose husband was murdered (that's all I can say without spoiling anything). The clips are supposed from 1994 and the user interface from the mid-to-late-90s, and it nails both these looks. All in all I enjoyed the narrative, but if you seek game mechanics you should not buy this, because it has about as many game mechanics as a DVD player.
2016-01-31: Max Payne (PC/Steam): Of course I've played through this before, I think at least 3 or 4 times. But I hadn't played it for a few years, and last time I played it was on Windows XP. Although I now played the Steam version (I got it cheap from, it can't be bought normally on Steam in Germany because of our stupid censorship laws and the even stupider interpretation of them by most publisher and Valve) it needed a fix for the sound and a widescreen fix to get it to work good on Windows 7 (10 apparently has even bigger problems). But after that the game plays really good in 1080p, of course the textures are blurry, but even modern games like GTA V have some blurry textures in their PC ports.

March (0)

April (0)

May (1)
2016-05-28: Affordable Space Adventures (Wii U/eShop): Got it from the Humble Friends of Nintendo Bundle. Great game, I'd classify the game as a (mostly stealth) puzzle plattformer (without much plattforming because you control a little spaceship). It has great level design with a nice progression of getting new ship features (and in the end losing them in a different order), and a great immersive graphics and UI design that puts the Wii U Gamepad to good use. I need to try the co-op sometime (it has 2 and 3 player co-op which distributes the controls among the players).

June (0)

July (0)

August (1)
2016-08-28: Grow Home (Windows 10/Steam): Finally got a new (gaming) PC a few weeks ago, but mostly used it to goof around with GTA V. This weekend I finally decided to play something new (to me), so I finally played Grow Home which I bought in the last Steam holiday sale. I very muched liked it, and I think I'll look for the other 8 star seeds. Although I'll probably need a guide for that in the end.

September (0)

October (1)
2016-10-11: Love (Windows 10/Steam): Great retro plattformer with simple pixel graphics and a great chiptune soundtrack. Never took the time finishing it with the stanard setting (100 lives) until now.

November (1)
2016-11-20: Guild Wars 2 (Windows 10/ArenaNet): Most of the gaming time in the last few months I sunk into Guild Wars 2, although I normally don't like MMOs. I don't even think GW2 is a particular great game (except for the art style), but somehow I am hooked on it. Maybe because there is always something quick to do, or it gives me plenty of stuff to butch and moan about, I don't know. I just finished the personal story of my main char, which I could have done much quicker but was not all that motivated. Mainly I finished it now because I've bought the expansion in their sale.

December (1)
2016-12-17: Metal Slug XX (PSP): I've been moving for the past week, and I still have not been able to set up my PC again. So I played a bit on my PSP. 7/XX is a typical Metal Slug game in my oppinion, nothing outstanding but good. I'm not sure why I never finished it before, I only played the Japanese ROM on my DS before (before the English release came out) and stopped at some boss, I think the one of mission 3.

Thumbs up

2015 was relatively light for me on both the number of games I finished and the amount of time I spent playing them. I didn't play much of anything in the summer, but I did play some pretty beefy titles at the beginning and end of the year. I'm also just about to finish my second time through Bloodborne, but I'll be including that for last year's total. There's not much on the horizon that I'm looking forward to except for Dark Souls III, Zelda Wii U, and Street Fighter V so I might have a smallish total at the end of this year too. (Red for previous conquests.)

January (1)
-Bloodborne (PS4) (1/26; 6/2) x2 Ever since this really clicked with me I haven't wanted to play anything else with my fairly limited game time. I've gone four times through with three characters and have cleared the Chalice Dungeons with my NG++ Arcane dude. What's cool, too, is how short the game can be if you just stick to the critical path. This is admittedly much easier to do when you're a decked-out NG+ stallion, but that's great for replay value. (5/5)

February (3)
-Dark Souls (PS3) (2/4) Picked up an old STR build I tried to speedrun the game with back in 2014. I only had a portion of the game's final third to go so I finished it off and... uh, played through the whole thing again on NG+ and then spent some time with my NG++ FTH character. What a game. (5/5)
-Batman: Arkham City (PS3) (2/8) I think the pre-order nonsense that came with this game slightly soured me on it originally. This time around I didn't have any of those feelings. This game is a full-on masterpiece that feels hand-crafted and lovingly conceived from beginning to end. I played through the whole story, earning 57% overall completion (way more than it sounds) in just three days. The definition of addictive. (5/5)
-Batman: Arkham Origins (PC) (2/18) I'd say this is pretty close to being as good as Arkham City, but it's clunkier in a bunch of ways in the traversal, Bat-tools, and boss fights (one of the last ones is like a janky version of Mr. Freeze from AC). The core gameplay remains as fun as ever, though. (4/5)

March (5)
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) (3/2) An amazing game, almost my favourite in series (just under Zelda 1, Ocarina, and Majora). I've played this game so much in my life that the only way to inject some new intrigue into it is to see in what other order I can defeat the Dark World. This time I tried to do castle 2 last, but you need castle 2's Hookshot to cross a gap in castle 5. (5/5)
-Resident Evil - HD Remaster (PC) (3/4; 4/5; 5/15) x3 My favourite survival horror adventure game, bar none. These were my second, third, and fourth times through; did a Chris run on Normal, Jill (again) on Hard, and then Chris on Real Survival. I love how the two characters' scenarios make for really different experiences. Real Survival is also a great way to alter each scenario just that little bit more. Do I dare try Invisible Enemy mode? (5/5)
-Dead Space (PS3) (3/11) Still a really solid horror action game. Only real gripes are the repetition of the tram station and the heavy camera that gives me trouble if I don't know where a threat is coming from. But the weapons are great, the environments are perfect, and shooting limbs being is a pretty ingenious premise. I love how so many objectives are just blue collar space work. Watching industrial-class space machinery operate once I've repaired it is more satisfying to me than a story cut scene. (4/5)
-Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (U) (3/21; 4/1) x2 One of the best platformers I've played in the last few years. A perfect variety of creative level design and challenge. The (less frequent) rocket barrel and minecart stages are closer to the "spectacle" side of the spectrum than the last game's hairpulling challenge, which I think makes for a nice change of pace. Two playthroughs @ 84% completion. (5/5)
-Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (PC) (3/28) This is a really enjoyable isometric puzzle-platformer. Really clever puzzles, fun gunplay, nice control. One or two times I thought the execution for puzzles was unfair, but other than that this game is delightful from start to finish. I unfortunately only got to play single player, but I hope to one day find someone who wants to co-op with me! I've heard the multiplayer is where this game really shines. Thanks to madhair for gifting me this gem. (4/5)

April (2)
-Resident Evil 2 (PS1, via PSN) (4/8; 4/9; 4/14; 5/19) x4 Decided to play my PSN copy of RE2 and ended up going through Leon's A scenario in one sitting, then Claire B and Claire A in the next week, and then Leon B a bit later. I think it's interesting how the A scenario is more linear and generally has a much more forward flow while B is a bit more open and closer to RE1's mansion (though still not nearly as complex). Fantastic game. One of Capcom's best. (5/5)
-Dark Souls III (PS4) (4/26; 5/11; 6/17; 8/20) x4 Probably the most polished of all the Souls games. Best bosses in the whole series and every area is very strong. I haven't decided where this one falls in the series pantheon, but I think it'll be pretty up there. FromSoft are pretty much the best. (5/5)

May (4)
-Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (3DS) (5/1) My first trip into the Shantae series and I really, really liked it. Solid from beginning to end with tight controls, enjoyable dungeons, and cute adventure-style puzzles. Ended up with a 90%+ completion, with all Dark Magic and 26/32 Squid Hearts found. This is definitely something I'll revisit someday. (4/5)
-Affordable Space Adventures (U) (5/3) A fantastically clever little puzzle game that makes ingenious use of the gamepad. This seems like it'd be perfect for co-op but I unfortunately can only play it myself. Still, a great and genuinely challenging little game. One of the most amusing endings I've ever seen. (4/5)
-Bionic Commando: Rearmed (PC) (5/14) I really enjoyed this despite how frustrated I got a few times. I never played the original game so the mechanics took a lot of getting used to. I can see this as a game that I'll like more on replays knowing what to expect and generally just being better at it. (4/5)
-Demon's Souls (PS3) (5/17) Did a quick run as a Faith character after grabbing the Blessed Mace from 5-1. I love how each world has an incentive for being the first place to visit depending on your build. So well thought out. I finally took the opportunity to go for the "bad" ending, which turns out is appropriately mean! (5/5)

June (2)
-The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS) (6/20); Ran through this on Hero Mode. This is probably the best Zelda game since the N64 titles. I wouldn't call it perfect or the height of Zelda since I'm not big on the bite-sized design of Lorule, but it's a fantastically solid title with ingenious mechanics and maybe the most consistent gallery of dungeons in the series. (4/5)
-Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (3DS) (6/27); I played this once before and enjoyed it, but I somehow liked it even more this time. My initial complaint was that the doctor interrupts too often -- and he does, but only in the first mansion. After that the quest is very well paced. But the puzzles, scenarios, and enemy encounter design are pretty much excellent from the beginning. I even suffered through a broken circle pad in the last mansion to finish it. One of the best (and most underappreciated) 3DS games. (5/5)

July (3)
-Shovel Knight -- Plague of Shadows (U) (7/1); It took me a while to get around to PoS (an acronym not indicative of the game's quality), but I'm glad I did. I don't know if I'd call it absolutely better or worse than the base game, but as a piece of DLC it is positively second to none. Among other things, the fact that it's not just a re-skin is really impressive. Every town, area, and NPC convo is tailored for Plague Knight. (4/5)
-The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (GBC, via 3DS VC) (7/7) It's pretty amazing that this is a Game Boy game. Such a great little quest with tough dungeons and a clever world that unfolds sequentially without feeling limiting. I think this playthough has cemented this game as my favourite handheld Zelda. (5/5)
-Castlevania: Rondo of Blood (TG16, via Wii VC) (7/12; 7/12; 7/16) x3 Maybe my favourite classic-styled CV game. The branching and connecting paths are such a great concept, with even alternate paths within alternate paths. Not to mention the tight controls and great enemy design and placement. The lack of pit deaths in this game gives it a very unique feel as a platformer. (5/5)

August (0)

September (1)
-Dishonored + The Knife of Dunwall + The Brigmore Witches (PS3) (9/23) Such an amazing stealth game with open level design that's nearly as good as the original Deus Ex, and maybe better in places. This is the fourth or fifth time I've finished the main game, but the first time I've played the second DLC pack. It was okay. Not up to snuff from the main game, obviously, but probably not even as good as the first DLC either. Still an amazing package. Can't wait for the sequel. (5/5)

October (5)
-Dead Space 2 (PS3) (10/3) DS2 is a huge improvement over 1. The flow is fantastic, each encounter feels fresh, and the guns and control just feel better. Finished on Survivalist difficulty. I'm making use of weapons that I don't recall using last time around. Specifically, the detonator and the javelin gun. The detonator has protected my ass so many times I can't believe I made it through the game without it before. (5/5)
-Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (PS1, via PSN) (10/9; 10/12) x2 An okay game in its own right since the RE formula is fairly solid, but none of the area design is as interesting or enjoyable as the previous games'. Combat works pretty well and Nemesis himself is a fun addition, although not entirely to my tastes. I like the ammo crafting system though. Replay value seems pretty sparse considering the previous games' use of selectable scenarios feat. different characters with different storylines and abilities. (3/5)
-Resident Evil - CODE: Veronica X (PS3) (10/14; 10/17) x2 This feels like the design sequel to RE1, though with a lot more straight up backtracking than devising safe routes to a location from multiple options. Though a little big overall, the prison island is a solid mix of action and key-finding. The switch to Chris is well done too, with retracing puzzle pieces in destroyed environments from earlier. But the boss fights blow and the storyline is shark jumping garbage. Goofy characters kill the RE atmosphere. (4/5)
-Odallus: The Dark Call (PC) (10/27; 11/30; 12/3) x3 Really, really solid action-adventure platformer with a retro look. My only gripe is small: that the range of abilities you accumulate by the end makes the game feel just a tick easier than it should be. Other than that? Tight controls, varied level design, fair and fun bosses, and a satisfyingly concise campaign (I did it in five hours then a speed run in 1:24). Not the best of the throwback games, but still a great one. (5/5)
-Technobabylon (PC) (10/29) Point-and-click adventures aren't entirely my thing, but I enjoyed this one enough for its well done setting, (mostly) reasonable puzzles, and the opportunities to solve situations in multiple ways. I'm not sure I'd play the whole thing again just to solve things a different way, but the fact that I considered doing that at all means that I had a pretty all right time overall. There were one or two puzzles I felt were pixel-hunty or too outside the box, but they were the rare exceptions. (4/5)

November (4)
-The Curse of Issyos (PC) (11/2) Awesome freeware action-platformer. It's basically Castlevania crossed with Greek mythology. Really good level design, strong bosses, and a concise campaign that seems to have more than meets the eye with regards to secrets and a true ending that I failed to unlock. I recommend this to just about everyone. (4/5)
-Super Mario 3D World (U) (11/3) Maybe my favourite Wii U game. My girlfriend and I have been trading off single player campaigns, trying to impress the other with speed and skill, etc. On top of all the great level design and challenges, this graphics in this game might be some of my favourite ever. It's such a perfectly rendered little toy world. I sure hope Nintendo make another Mario game with this same SMB2-style character variety. Favourite characters: Mario and Peach; least favourite: Luigi. (5/5)
-Final Fantasy VII (PS1) (11/21) After growing a bit weary of my FFVIII replay a couple of discs in, I popped in reliable old FFVII to cleanse the palette. Didn't take long for it to throw its spell over me, and here I sit two weeks later having beaten it for the nth time. The plot is excellent (translation notwithstanding), the characters are all engaging, the adventure is marvelously paced, and the Materia system is one of my favourite character building gimmicks ever. My favourite of the "traditional" styled FFs. (5/5)
-Tomb Raider (2013) (PC) (11/27) This is an okay huge budget game. Strikes me as a tepid mix between Uncharted and a Batman Arkham game. It has its moments and I had some genuine fun in some parts, but the level design isn't all that interesting, the collection checklist is annoying bloat, and the upgrades really kept me from feeling like I was playing with Lara rather than just being very controlled. I couldn't even swing my axe until I purchased an upgrade with the XP from irrelevant collectibles. (3/5)

December (3)
-Bayonetta (U) (12/04) I've played this game countless times on my PS3, but this is my first time through the Wii U pack-in version that came with Bayo2. This is a great, great game, but still one that almost wants you to dislike it with all the mini-games, looooong cutscenes, and QTE deaths. There's so much bullshit that it's astounding... but I still can't help but call it one of the best action titles out there. This version's performance slowed to a crawl a couple of times, though, oddly. (5/5)
-Bayonetta 2 (U) (12/08; 12/12) x2 ...And right into Bayo2 I went. This is a much smoother, better performing, and more visually attractive game than the first. The chapters are better paced (although still some editing needed), the areas have much less drab exploration, and the overall flow is a much more satisfying forward, forward, forward. One of the Wii U's best games and a strong improvement on its flawed masterpiece predecessor. (5/5)
-Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines (PC) (12/18; 12/23) x2 My second and third full plays of this game, back-to-back, as Ventrue and Malkavian females. This game is the dictionary definition of a flawed masterpiece. It doesn't have a few negative quirks that keep it from greatness, but more that it's obviously great in so many ways and objectively sucks shit in others that nearly defy belief. But I love it anyway (and the Malkavian script is a labour of love). Next: male Tremere. (5/5)

Games That Don't End (2):
-Street Fighter V (PS4) (2/16-) A rocky start for what can be described as an "early access" title, but this is some of my favourite gameplay I've gotten from the SF series. I love the roster so far and I can't wait to see what the roll-out of DLC will bring. Not perfect as an overall product (yet), but damn close to perfect where it counts. (5/5)
-Out of the Park Baseball 17 (PC) (11/29-) I've never played one of these games before, but I can see myself losing my mind playing this one (at least until IRL baseball season starts). The amount of depth is just staggering. I'll never, ever get to the bottom of it all. Gave myself the managerial position of the Pittsburgh Pirates, so maybe I'll be able to topple the Cubs? (5/5)

2016 TOTAL: 35

Games I Stopped Playing (4):
-The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (PS4); After seven hours or so I still wasn't into it. The heavy UI and control scheme bugged me to start, and my lack of motivation to learn the game and its lore sealed it. Navigating the open world felt closer to GTA than it did to Elder Scrolls for me. Not a bad game at all, but not one to my tastes.
-Strider (PC); Hardly a bad video game, but its brand of chaotic ninja action is just unsatisfying to me. Tons of health drops and big health bars pretty much mean there's no downside to rushing in and tanking through a room. Five hours into the game and I haven't seen much incentive to play well outside of the boss fights (which are cool).
-Final Fantasy V (SNES); One of my favourite FFs, but my FFA version doesn't work on the PS3 so my only means of playing it is... ahem. Made it to nearly the fourth crystal in the first world, but I don't really enjoy playing old console games on my PC -- so off it goes! Wish I could find a cart of FFV Advance for my DS.
-Final Fantasy VIII (PS1); I guess I used to like this game a whole lot more when I was younger. I don't genuinely dislike it or anything, but I fell off around the Orphanage flashback mostly because Squall is so obscenely strong despite me trying to build a balanced party that the game has lost all challenge. I picked up FF7 in the interim and played it all the way through, so the problem isn't just FF fatigue either. I'll likely come back to VIII some day, as I always do with the PS1 FFs.

2015 Total: 31 (5 games replayed; 38 playthroughs total)
2014 Total: 45 (13 games replayed; 65 playthroughs total)
2013 Total: 30 (6 games replayed; 42 playthroughs total)

Tracking completed games last year helped me keep my backlog in mind (and also did show to me that I'm still making progress and beating things), but this year I want to help this out more by also noting when I start new games. I'll leave the ones I've started in 2015 out of the tracking.

  • Hitogotchi (PC)
  • 20XX (PC)
  • Detective Grimoire (PC)
  • Punch Club (PC)
  • Pony Island (PC)
  • TIS-100 (PC)
  • Planetbase (PC)
  • Deadnauts (PC)
  • Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam (3DS)
  • Kentucky Route Zero (PC)
  • Project X Zone 2 (3DS; Demo)
  • Final Fantasy Explorers (3DS)
  • Gunman Clive (3DS)

  • Dropsy (PC): What if you were playing a traditional adventure game, but your main character doesn't know the language everyone uses? All Dropsy wants is a hug :(((((((
  • Hitogotchi (PC): A cute little game about being a Tamagotchi.
  • Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void (PC): A fine conclusion to the Starcraft 2 trilogy, years after it started. The ending was pretty goofy, and I'm not sure I liked the changes to the campaign mechanics as much as I liked Heart of the Swarm's (Legacy just felt too much like what Wings should have been), but I enjoyed it all the way through.
  • Detective Grimoire (PC): A short little murder mystery surrounding a strange tourist attraction. Really short, but very well animated and well written. Clearly a port of a mobile game, though, with how the UI works.
  • Pony Island (PC): Ken White was right; ponies are the tool of the devil. (I enjoyed the game, though.)
  • Punch Club (PC): A Sims-lite stat manager where you control the rise (and fall?) of a prospective MMA fighter on a quest for revenge. I quite enjoyed it. The dialog is oddly... "translated"? I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but I think it added to the feel of the game as well. It's basically an extended kung fu movie and training montage.
  • Kentucky Route Zero: Acts 1~3 (PC): A story game with an interesting premise and a good story. I couldn't articulate to you why I like it, but it's something I enjoyed and really want to see more of.
  • Victor Vran (PC): An action-RPG with more emphasis on the action. Enjoyable, and with lots of options for challenging yourself, but it feels... somewhat hollow? I don't know. There's something off about it compared to other Diablo-likes.
  • Gunman Clive (3DS): A short, but well made, platformer.

  • Wargame: AirLand Battle (PC)
  • Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3)
  • Shadowrun Hong Kong Extended Edition (PC)
  • Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright (3DS)
  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (Vita)

  • Wargame: AirLand Battle (PC) When I picked this as a #4iF game, I expected it to have more of a campaign, but it ended up being more of a freeform thing. Still beat all of the scenarios in it, though.
  • Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3): My second #4iF title. I said it before with regards to Dancing All Night, but I would be perfectly fine with Atlus turning the Persona series into a VN franchise. The stories of Arena, Arena Ultimax, and Dancing All Night are pretty great and amazing, and I think that format works really well for that series.
  • Shadowrun Hong Kong (PC): This series continues to be awesome. And finished just in time for the Extended Edition!
  • Skylanders Giants (PS3): My third #4iF title. If you finished the first Skylanders and said "Yep, I want more of exactly that", then you got it. Giants might as well have been an expansion pack of the original game. It's still slow, plodding, and too many characters feel like their mechanics don't work in the game they ended up in. However, it also adds Triple Triad, and there's a stage that uses Ikaruga as a mechanic, so I guess it comes out ahead overall?
  • Atelier Ayesha Plus (Vita): My fourth #4iF title. I don't think it's as good as Meruru or Totori, but I enjoyed it anyway. It simplified the alchemy system in a way that made gathering better, but not as exciting as the Arland games. On the flip side, the additions to the alchemy system itself related to how you get traits onto your creations were much more interesting then previous games. Still wish it didn't have the time limit, though, and I'm looking forward to diving into the rest of the Dusk games because they deemphasize the clock a lot.

  • Bravely Second Demo (3DS)
  • Pokken Tournanment (Wii U)
  • Grim Dawn (PC)
  • Firewatch (PC)
  • Hyrule Warriors Legends (3DS)

  • Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel (Vita): A Japanese game about students at a military academy with incredible political writing. And the way it ends is incredible and makes me pretty excited for the second game coming out later this year!
  • Shadowrun Hong Kong Extended Edition (PC): A really well done addition to the story of SRHK. I'd like more from these guys, but I'm also pretty excited for the Battletech game!
  • Bravely Second Demo (3DS): It's basically the Bravely Default demo, but with the new characters and a few of the new jobs. So it's still pretty good!
  • The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut (PC): As I like to say to my friend as we played through this franchise in co-op, The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is a "well designed" game. While it's hampered at times due to strange bugs or peculiar design choices, this collection of all 3 Van Helsing games has been some of the most fun I've had with any Diablo-clone in a long time.
  • Firewatch (PC): ~What IS Firewatch~. I really enjoyed this little tale of what loneliness and isolation can do to people, especially ones that bring baggage with them to begin with.
  • Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright (3DS): I really did enjoy the little changes they made to the mechanics in Awakening, though I'm a little sad that the "world map" version of the game (Birthright) doesn't actually have a world map. Regardless, War Relationship Simulator 2016 was a lot of fun. Now I need to play through the other parts.

  • Project X Zone 2 (3DS)
  • Dual Gear Alpha Demo (PC)
  • We Know the Devil (PC)
  • Hyper Light Drifter (PC)
  • Pocket Card Jockey Demo (3DS)
  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered (PC)
  • Starcraft 2: Nova Covert Ops Episode 1 (PC)
  • Stranger of Sword City (Vita)

  • Dual Gear Alpha Demo (PC): Looks pretty rad, and plays like a cross between Front Mission and Valkyria Chronicles. I hope the final game turns out well!
  • Ghost Recon: Shadow War (3DS): It's been a long time coming, but I finally beat this launch 3DS game. Surprisingly good, not just as a launch title, but also as a Ghost Recon game. I'm sure it's been abandoned as a concept by now, but it's interesting to have seen Ubi take this franchise and make it into an actually pretty competent tactics game.
  • We Know the Devil (PC): A short and cute VN about group dynamics. And low-budget magical girl summer camp.
  • Day of the Tentacle Remastered (PC): Day of the Tentacle is still really good. Though maybe not all that approachable if you don't already have a background in old style adventure games.
  • Professor Layton and the Last Specter (DS): It's a Layton game, so I really enjoyed it. Gotta finish catching up!
  • Starcraft 2: Nova Covert Ops Episode 1 (PC): A pretty interesting start to Blizzard's more serious attempt at episodic content. Mixes up hero and army management in an interesting way, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the missions. Also: Siege Tanks with jump jets.

  • Stellaris (PC)
  • Siralim 2 (PC, Early Access)

  • Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS)
  • Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U)

  • Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth (Vita): While there are some really bad design decisions made (such as a lack of camera control, poor main-mission tracking, and attacks and stats being incredibly out of whack and balance), the story was SO GOOD that it held together none the less. The game has a lot of interesting things to say about transhumanism and the way people interact with others online. That it's also still fun to play despite it's flaws is another strong point. Just, man. I really didn't expect this from a jRPG, let alone a Digimon game.
  • Retro City Rampage (Vita): Well. I enjoyed it, even though it's basically GTA by way of NES video games and gaming tropes. I mean, there's some really smart things in there, so it not JUST laughing at old games, but it's also a lot of that.
  • Grim Dawn (PC): The guys who made Titan Quest, what used to be my favourite Diablo-clone that's not Diablo, decided to take their engine to Kickstarter to make a new game. So I backed it, and it was absolutely worth it. And now Grim Dawn is my favourite Diablo-clone that's not Diablo.

  • 7th Dragon III Code: VFD Demo (3DS)
  • Monster Hunter Generations Special Demo (3DS)
  • BOXBOY! (3DS)
  • Zero Time Dilemma (Vita)
  • Monster Hunter Generations (3DS)
  • 7th Dragon III Code: VFD (3DS)

  • Monster Hunter Generations Special Demo (3DS): It's more Monster Hunter, with some smart improvements over MH4G. Really looking forward to the full release, now!
  • 7th Dragon III Code: VFD Demo (3DS): While it seems like it may be less nuanced then Etrian Odyssey due to it's more story focus and smaller party size (3-man, really?), the classes are much more distinct then EO tends to do, and the gameplay and style are very snappy. Looking forward to the full release once I finish up EOU2.
  • BOXBOY! (3DS): A really cute little puzzle platformer. I'm pretty happy I finally got around to this.
  • Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold (3DS): Speaking of EOU2, finally beat the story mode. I really liked the improvements they made not just to EO2, but also to the Untold mechanics for this one.
  • Kirby: Planet Robobot (3DS): Oh man. This just may be my new favourite Kirby. Sure, the Robobot itself doesn't ACTUALLY add anything to the mix, but it's SO FUN to use. The game has style and charm all over the place. And the final boss sequence is the most ridiculous one, and it's incredible.
  • Zero Time Dilemma (Vita): A wild ride all the way through. Rough in a few places because the director was having problems getting it greenlit, but I think some of those ended up helping. A great conclusion to that trilogy.

  • Starward Rogue (PC)
  • Pocket Arcade Story (Android)
  • Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs Force (Vita)
  • Bravely Second (3DS)

  • Starward Rogue (PC): If you want to call clearing one run on Very Easy "beaten", then yes. That said, I really like this roguelike, and want to put some more time into really learning it later on. Rad music and aesthetic, too.
  • Yo-Kai Watch (3DS): Short if you just want to mainline the story, but there's a friggin TON of side content and stuff to do. Just a really cute little story about not-Pokemon and the friends you make along the way. Battle system is interesting, and can get really hectic even if you're not actually directly controlling the yo-kai, though recruiting is a pain. Very interested in the sequel.
  • 7th Dragon III: Code-VFD (3DS) Although there's a really sudden tonal shift right at the end, the game ended up being a pretty good EO-lite. I never played the previous games, but I hear they generally have some balance issues, and this one sure did. But it's unbalanced in your favour, so I'm ok with that.

  • Style Savvy: Fashion Forward Demo (3DS)
  • Picross 3D Round 2 Demo (3DS)
  • Style Savvy: Fashion Forward (3DS)
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice (3DS)
  • Dragon Quest 7 (3DS)
  • Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander (PC)
  • Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel 2 (Vita)
  • Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (3DS)

  • Style Savvy: Fashion Forward Demo (3DS): At first I found it hard to get into, but then I discovered the organizational tools and now I just really want the full game!
  • Picross 3D Round 2 Demo (3DS): Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, 3D Picross. I'm super into this, but man it's price tag is a hard sell. I mean, it's actually not that bad of a price, but when the Picross E series is about as many puzzles but a quarter of the price...
  • Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice (3DS): This... might actually be the best game in the franchise? But now I just super want a bunch of little vignette cases to go more into all the esoteric stuff these games are leaving behind.

  • Dragon Quest Builders Demo (PS4)
  • World of Final Fantasy Demo (PS4)
  • Pokemon Sun/Moon Special Demo (3DS)
  • 100ft Robot Golf (PS4)

  • Dragon Quest 7 (3DS): I'm surprised that I made it through to the end of this game. It's incredibly long, it's a really slow burn, and I've not liked many of the mainline DQ titles. But the storytelling is just so strong that I was enthralled the whole way through.
  • World of Final Fantasy Demo (PS4): Adorable and a lot of fun. Looking forward to the full game now!
  • Pokemon Sun/Moon Special Demo (3DS): If you remember the ORAS special demo, it's basically that. I'm looking forward to the new game!
  • Gundam Breaker 3 (PS4): Really light on stage variety, and a few odd omissions in terms of gunpla availability (some of which are already announced as DLC, though), but still an amazing loot brawler all the way through. Build your own custom Gundam and defeat the giant Gundam!!
  • 100ft Robot Golf (PS4): A really well made parody golf game, featuring a great cast of jokers. The campaign is just the right length, while still managing to be full of silly mecha anime references. And then it's credits theme is Lockdown, so it TOTALLY knows who it's target audience is.
  • Pokemon Alpha Sapphire (3DS): This was mostly just me getting lazy, but I figured since Sun/Moon was finally coming out I had better catch up on my Pokemon. Gotta do Episode Delta still, and I'm actually really interested in that, but for now I can put this aside. Still got to build my living dex, though, but I'll probably go back to X for that if I'm going to work on it before Gen 7 launches.

  • World of Final Fantasy (PS4)
  • Tyranny (PC)
  • Pokemon Sun (3DS)

  • World of Final Fantasy (PS4): A really cutesy (though the KH art style doesn't... work very well here) FF-style take on the Pokemon genre, and certainly a love letter to Final Fantasy. Some mechanics issues I wish got resolved in testing, though. Also: The staff they had writing monster descriptions was at the top of their game!
  • Fantasy Life (3DS): This took longer then I was planning, but I finally beat the main story. This is such a cute and stress-free game, letting you tackle the story any way you want to. I beat it without even picking up any of the combat Lifes!
  • Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 (3DS): It's more Gunvolt, so if you liked the first one, this one will be right up your alley. Adding Copen as a playable character lets them have another neat method of interacting with the mechanics, though Copen as a character is still bad.
  • Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest (3DS): My comments on Birthright basically fit in here. Though I'm... interested how the version about grim darkness was also the one with the more flavourful children? Birthright had the anime tropes, while Conquest had the bi womanizer, the yaoi fangirl, and the trans fashion designer.

  • Final Fantasy 15 Platinum Demo (PS4)
  • Final Fantasy 15 (PS4)
  • Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (Wii U)
  • Mighty Number 9 (Wii U)
  • Space Hulk: Deathwing (PC)
  • Let It Die (PS4)

  • Final Fantasy 15 Platinum Demo (PS4): This is a tech demo-ass tech demo, but was also probably a better demo then the original release of Episode Duscae?
  • Pokemon Sun (3DS): SuMo is the best Pokemon game to date. There's some annoying little niggles, like a few parts of the UI that weren't updated to match other parts that were also updated, but the package as a whole is an excellent new direction to take these games.
  • Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (Wii U): To start off, I backed this on Kickstarter. And I'm really pleased with the resulting game! Whether this is better then Pirate's Curse is hard to determine, but there's certainly less skeeze in 1/2 Genie Hero then Pirate's Curse.
  • War for the Overworld (PC): I've been hankering for a "new" Dungeon Keeper for so long, and have been burned by so many of the games claiming to do that, that I was starting to feel like the magic was gone. And then War for the Overworld came out, and showed that you can still make a good dungeon manager game these days.

Same format as usual: * to indicate a replay, game name, platform, hours played (or an estimate, if the game doesn't track), a rating out of five, and a random thought as I add the game to the list.

January (3)
01 King's Quest - Chapter 1 [PC - 5h - 4/5 - Really charming first chapter, meatier than most episodic games and feeling like a classic KQ made in the modern day]
02 One Finger Death Punch [PC - 6h - 5/5 - As silly as it sounds, one of the most addicting games I've played in years]
10 King's Quest - Chapter 2 [PC - 3h - 3/5 - The new survival mechanics were neat, but this felt smaller in scope and less charming than the first episode]

February (4)
09 Firewatch [PC - 4h - 4/5 - Probably not quite that good, but it's been a while since I sat down and played a game start to finish in one sitting, and that counts for something]
14 Blitz Breaker [PC - 5h - 5/5 - Quick pick up and play reflex-based action at its finest]
15 Pony Isand [PC - 3h - 4/5 - Really neat concept that I may dive back in to to 100% it]
28 Titan Souls [PC - 3h - 3/5 - Would work really well as a Punch-Out-style boss rush, but docking a point for doubling game with with pointless walking around]

March (1)
10 I am Bread [PC - 3h - 4/5 - Stupid and fun]

April (1)
24 Stardew Valley [PC - 80h - 5/5 - You can't really beat this per se, but after this many hours and two in-game years, I'm counting it]
28 *Lines [iOS - 2h - 4/5 - I don't often replay mobile games, but gave this one a try again to kill a few minutes, ended up doing it all over again]

May (6)
01 Rise of the Tomb Raider [PC - 25h - 5/5 - An even bigger and better sequel to one of the better AAA games of recent years, what's not to dig?]
09 Job Simulator [PC - 2h - 3/5 - The first 10-15 minutes of each job are really neat, but unfortunately, they each last 30 minutes]
13 Final Approach [PC - 3h - 4/5 - There's something really neat about standing over a city like a giant, then shrinking down to normal size to see the chaos from ground level]
21 Windlands [PC - 7h - 4/5 - It's a shame this makes some people motion sick, because it's awesome exploring a 3D world so freely in VR]
25 Hyrule Warriors Legend [3DS - 19h - 5/5 - This game is super addictive, and I've only done the story mode, which isn't even the meat of the game]
31 Omnibus [PC - 3h - 4/5 - Love the graphics and the variety here]

June (2)
12 *Final Fantasy V Advance [GBA - 12h - 5/5 - Fiesta!]
26 *Shovel Knight [PC - 3h - 5/5 - You can tell it's a true modern classic when you replay it every year, and don't get tired of it at all]

July (2)
29 Picross e5 [3DS - 12h - 4/5 - Started it long ago, finally wrapped it up this month]
31 Dark Souls 3 [PC - 54h - 5/5 - While I'm not sure it changed my life like it did for many others, my first Dark Souls was still an excellent experience beginning to end]

August (1)
20 Dead Secret [PC - 2h - 4/5 - Prime example of a seemingly meh game elevated by VR support]

September (4)
02 Castle of Illusions [PC - 2h - 3/5 - Decent remake that does some things better (bosses) and some things worse (cut scenes, 3D platforming)]
10 The Turing Test [PC - 5h - 4/5 - Neat Portal-style game with fairly interesting writing to boot]
11 Batman: Arkham Knight [PC - 27h - 4/5 - Same opinion I had of Origins when I finished it: it's the worst Arkham game, but still top tier AAA action taken on its own]
24 Deus Ex: Mankind Divided [PC - 26h - 4/5 - This was some fantastic Deus Ex-ing for a while, but kind of tapered off 2/3 of the way through]

October (0)

November (5)
07 Dark Souls 2 [PC - 40h - 4/5 - Pretty good taken on its own, but playing after DS3, it felt like a clear step down]
08 Broforce [PC - 5h - 4/5 - Simple dumb fun that ended exactly when it started wearing out its welcome]
15 *Dishonored [PC - 7h - 4/5 - If you skip the story bits, this can be cleared in a couple of days, which I actually appreciate in a modern AAA title]
16 Train Valley [PC - 7h - 5/5 - Perfect game for killing 20 minutes here, 20 minutes there]
29 Shadowcrypt [PC - 2h - 3/5 - Fun while it lasted, but it really felt like a single dungeon of a much larger game]

December (3)
17 *Shantae and the Pirate's Curse [PC - 6h - 4/5 - Unspectacular yet consistently solid from beginning to end]
27 Superhot [PC - 1h - 3/5 - Very fun mechanics, but story is so disruptive to flow of gameplay that it almost feels like an intentional troll]
28 Shantae: Half Genie Hero [PC - 6h - 4/5 - Not quite as good as the previous one, but better than the other two]

2016 Completed (33)
2 - 3DS
1 - GBA
1 - iOS
29 - PC
[ - h - /5 - ]
