Yes, you'll come to the idea if you know the baseball. But baseball isn't popular in every country of the world. As for me, I've figured it was mentioning baseball but I didn't know which way was supposed to the first base. And from what I've read on the web for many years, it seems even many Americans had the same problem.

Now I should draw a map but how? I usually draw maps of interactive fiction/adventure games on Excel sheet (I write other information on separate sheet.) I try to convert Excel map to bitmap and upload for now.

A passageway too small to get through? A cake bearing the words "eat me"? Sounds like something out of Alice in Wonderland.

Eat the green cake, and perhaps we will become small enough to enter the hole.

It's been a while...I was busy.
Let's try all of the suggestions. First, most destructive one...

>cut the cake with the sword
Which cake do you mean, the cake frosted with green letters, the cake frosted with red letters, the cake frosted with orange letters, or the cake frosted with blue letters?

>green
Strange concept, cutting the cake frosted with green letters....

Hmm...doesn't seem to work. Try it for other cakes just be sure.

>cut the red cake with the sword
Strange concept, cutting the cake frosted with red letters....

>cut the orange cake with the sword
Strange concept, cutting the cake frosted with orange letters....

>cut the blue cake with the sword
Strange concept, cutting the cake frosted with blue letters....

Same for any cake. Well, cakes are meant to be eaten after all.

>eat red cake
(Taken)
That was delicious, but your dying memory is of feeling horribly dehydrated and thirsty.

**** You have died ****

<Scene after death omitted>

Oops, now I must use the only spell I know...RESTORE!

>eat orange cake
(Taken)
You have been blasted to smithereens (wherever they are).

**** You have died ****

Blast, RESTORE!

>eat blue cake
(Taken)
The room around you seems to be getting smaller.

The room seems to have become too small to hold you. The walls are not as compressible as your body, which is demolished.

**** You have died ****

Again...RESTORE!
So I have left with no other choice than...

>eat green cake
(Taken)
Suddenly, the room appears to have become very large (although everything you are carrying seems to be its normal size).

Posts Room
This is an enormous room, in the center of which are four wooden posts delineating a rectangular area, above which is what appears to be a wooden roof. In fact, all objects in this room appear to be abnormally large. To the east is a passageway. There are large gaping chasms to the west and northwest.

It worked this time! Seems like...I've shrunken?
Let's see if I'm still able to reach the other cakes.

>get red cake
You can't see any red cake here!

>climb post
You can't do that!

Looks like I can't.

Actually, you're stuck here if you don't get the other cakes before eating green one. Earlier Interactive fictions are so unforgiving...

Ok, RESTORE once again, and this time

>get all cakes
cake frosted with green letters: Taken.
cake frosted with red letters: Taken.
cake frosted with orange letters: Taken.
cake frosted with blue letters: You try to pick it up, but with everything else you have, you can't manage to hold onto it!

Ok then,

>i
You are carrying:

A china teapot
A blue crystal sphere
A lamp (providing light)

>drop sphere
Dropped.

>get blue cake
Taken.

>eat green cake
Suddenly, the room appears to have become very large (although everything you are carrying seems to be its normal size).

Now we can go east.

This is a large room, one half of which is depressed. Salty water flows from a large leak in the ceiling. The only exit is to the west.
A stoppered glass flask with a skull-and-crossbones marking is here. The flask is filled with some clear liquid.
The leak has submerged the depressed area in a pool of tears. There is a hazy something at the deepest part of the pool.

>examine pool
There's nothing special about the pool of tears.

So, there's something but I can't reach it. What to do now?

Do you have to take the green cake to eat it? Because you could just eat it and keep the sphere, in case you need it.

I guess put the red cake in the pool.

Sorry for long delay...but I won't let this LP go abandoned.
First, let't try Bunk's suggestion.

>eat green cake
(Taken)
Suddenly, the room appears to have become very large (although everything you are carrying seems to be its normal size).

Posts Room

In fact, all objects in this room appear to be abnormally large. To the east is a passageway. There are large gaping chasms to the west and northwest.

>get all cakes
It's not clear what you're referring to.

Eating green cake and then trying to take other cakes doesn's work. Well then...(after restoring)

>get all cakes but green cake
cake frosted with red letters: Taken.
cake frosted with orange letters: Taken.
cake frosted with blue letters: Taken.

>eat green cake
(Taken)

It worked! Well, actually I've found you can carry all cakes at this point along with all your equipment. Why it failed first time is not sure, maybe a random chance?

Anyway, back to the pool...

>put red cake in pool
Most of the pool evaporates, revealing a (slightly damp but still valuable) package of rare candies. The red cake must be pretty strong stuff, since it remains intact!

>l

There is a cake frosted with red letters here.

There is a package of candied goodies here.
You feel cooler and less angry now.

>get candy
Taken.

Whoa, the pool EVAPORATES! You may have guessed it because you die of DEHYDRATE when you eat the red cake, but why a small cake can evaporate an entire pool is beyond my recognition.
The emptied pool reveals a new treasure - candied goodies - and taking it gives me another 15 points. Let's take a look at it.

>look at candy
Frobozz Magic Candy Company
>>Special Assortment<<
Candied Grasshoppers
Chocolated Ants
Worms Glacee
(By Appointment to His Majesty, Dimwit I)

Frobozz Magic Candy Company? Looks like Frobozz group of companies has so many businesses...

And for Flitchard's suggestion,

>look at blue cake through flask
The flask distorts and magnifies the cake frosted with blue letters, showing details not noticed earlier.
The letters, now visible, say "Enlarge".

>look at orange cake through flask
The flask distorts and magnifies the cake frosted with orange letters, showing details not noticed earlier.
The letters, now visible, say "Explode".

>look at red cake through flask
The flask distorts and magnifies the cake frosted with red letters, showing details not noticed earlier.
The letters, now visible, say "Evaporate".

Yes, you can read the letters on the cakes using the flask as a magnification glass.

Although I think it is another illogical point of the game.
By the way, the flask is only useful here. Do not try to open the flask, it's just a trap and you'll be poisoned to death when you do that.

Anyway, let's go back through the hole...

>get flask
Taken.

!! FROBOZZ MAGIC ROBOT COMPANY !!

Hello, Master!

I am a late-model robot, trained at GUE Tech to perform various simple household functions.

To activate me, say the following:

>ROBOT, <things to do>

At your service!

Hmm...looks like I can give some order to the robot. So what order can we think of which would be useful for our search?

Cool

Let's go look at the other rooms before deciding what to order to the robot.

>e
Machine Room
This is a large room full of assorted heavy machinery, whirring noisily. The room smells of burned resistors. Along one wall are three buttons which are, respectively, round, triangular, and square. Naturally, above these buttons are instructions written in EBCDIC. A large sign in English above all the buttons says
"DANGER -- HIGH VOLTAGE"
There are exits to the west and the south.

>s
Dingy Closet
This is a dingy closet adjacent to a larger room to the north. Chiselled into a wall are these words:

Protected by
FROBOZZ
Magic Alarm Company
(Hello, footpad!)

There doesn't seem to be any footpad here, however.
There is a beautiful red crystal sphere here.

Now we have two puzzles in both of two rooms - machinery with buttons and the red crystal sphere.
Actually you need the help of the robot to solve both puzzles.

Now what to do?

darn.

The robot leaves the room.

>e

There is a robot here.

>robot, push round button

Nothing seems to happen.

hmm...

>robot, push square button
"Whirr, buzz, click!"
The whirring increases in intensity.

>robot, push triangular button
"Whirr, buzz, click!"
A dull thump is heard in the distance.

Actually the solution to this puzzle is rather obscure since the buttons affect a far place (Carousel Room) so you must try to push a button and return to the other room to see what has changed. Since this trial and error is tedious, I'll simply give the right answer here.

>robot, push round button
"Whirr, buzz, click!"
The whirring decreases in intensity.

Actually, just pushing triangular button is enough to solve the puzzle. The other buttons are, while having amusing effect, not needed for the puzzle.
Anyway, on the the next room...

>robot, s
"Whirr, buzz, click!"
The robot leaves the room.

>s

Now we have to find the way to have that red crystal sphere.

>get red sphere
As you reach for the sphere, a solid steel cage falls from the ceiling to entrap you. To make matters worse, poisonous gas starts coming into the room.

What!?

Cage
You are trapped inside a solid steel cage.

>examin cage
There's nothing special about the solid steel cage.

>get out of cage
You're not in that!

>get cage
An interesting idea...

>exit
You can't go that way.

>open cage
You must tell me how to do that to a solid steel cage.
Time passes...and you die from some obscure poisoning.

**** You have died ****

Hmmm...Trying to take the red sphere triggers a trap which makes me locked up in a cage, with apparently no possible exit. Worse, I'll be dead from poinsonous gas just moments later.
Now what to do?

First, let's order the robot to take the sphere as tjr suggested.

>robot, take the sphere
"Whirr, buzz, click!"
As the robot reaches for the sphere, a solid steel cage falls from the ceiling, trapping him. You can faintly hear his last words: "Whirr, buzz, click!" A cloud of smoke rising from beneath the cage confirms your fears about the fate of your brave mechanical friend.

**** The robot has died ****

It doesn't work...

>l
Dingy Closet
This is a dingy closet adjacent to a larger room to the north. Chiselled into a wall are these words:

Protected by
FROBOZZ
Magic Alarm Company
(Hello, footpad!)

There doesn't seem to be any footpad here, however.
There is a solid steel cage in the middle of the room.

>examine cage
There's nothing special about the solid steel cage.

>lift cage
Playing in this way with the solid steel cage isn't notably helpful.

After restoring, now try Flitchard and Bunk's suggestions;

>take sphere
As you reach for the sphere, a solid steel cage falls from the ceiling to entrap you. To make matters worse, poisonous gas starts coming into the room.

Cage
You are trapped inside a solid steel cage.

>robot, bend the bars
I don't know the word "bend".

>robot, lift the cage
The cage shakes and is hurled across the room. It's hard to say, but the robot appears to be smiling.

Dingy Closet
There is a beautiful red crystal sphere here.

>get sphere
You try to pick it up, but with everything else you have, you can't manage to hold onto it!

>i
You are carrying:
A green piece of paper
A stoppered glass flask filled with liquid
A package of candy
A cake frosted with orange letters
A sword
A perfect rose
A china teapot
A lamp (providing light)

>drop flask
Dropped.

>get sphere
Taken.

So the answer is let the robot to lift the cage. Now we have the red crystal sphere as well as 20 more points.

I think this is one of the nasty moments the game heavily misleads you by throwing inappropriate clues at you. Sure the game says "cage" which implies the cage has an array of metal bars for walls, but you are told "solid steel cage," and the fact that you are not told you can see beyond the wall of the cage while in it, and the description "A cloud of smoke rising from beneath the cage" all suggest that the cage has solid walls not bars - like a metal box - and you can neither see through the cage nor communicate with the robot which is outside the cage.
Furthermore, when you try to lift the cage yourself you are told "Playing in this way with the solid steel cage isn't notably helpful" so you may well exclude the idea of lifting the cage out of your mind, yet the answer is to ask the robot to lift the cage for you. I think it is one of the many Zork puzzles severely unfair.

Anyway, nothing more to do so let's go back to the bucket area.

>n
Machine Room

>w
As you enter, your compass starts spinning wildly.
What compass, you ask? The one which allows you to specify compass directions for movement.
Low Room

Well, we've something strange here...What's happened?

This is something to with the machine and buttons in the Machine Room. It isn't fully explained in the game itself and you can only recognize it by referring to the Infocom hint booklet, which I will describe later.
You can't reliably move to the direction you specified around this room for this reason.

>se
You cannot get your bearings...

Tea Room
There is a blue crystal sphere here.
There is a large oblong table here.

Oh, this time we've come to the right direction, but which is not always the case.

>get blue sphere
You try to pick it up, but with everything else you have, you can't manage to hold onto it!

Hmm...

>w
