Fucking dying. Amazing comeback. We're going to be talking about this game for decades.
My spouse is trying to figure out if it he could reasonably drive up to Seattle for one of the games in a couple weeks.
lolI do think the wildfire smoke affected the flight path of the hits.
Not sure what was meant by this?
My theory was about why it took so long for anyone to score, considering how many hits by both teams came sooo close to being homers. It was more just an "I wonder if this may have been a thing" than saying for certain it was a factor.I do think smoke inhalation would have a bigger effect on the athletes ability to perform at their best. But any of these situations, it's also a case of where both teams are equally disadvantaged by playing in the same scenario. If the smoke was affecting the Mariner's balls, it was also affecting the Astro's to the same degree, so it's a neutral event that can basically be cancelled out versus other factors that likely affected the game's outcome a lot more.
Hard agreeI just really don't like the Astros.
Especially considering everything the Astros have done to us since they've gone to the AL. They've easily surpassed the Angels as the Mariners' most hated rival by this point. Is it really surprising we’d hate a division rival more?
