Farscape

I guess I will have more to say over the course of this show, so why not a thread?

I'm at the start of S2, but feel free to spoil stuff. It doesn't seem, at least for now, like there is an amazing overarching plot (the strengths are elsewhere), so don't worry about that.

I just wanted to say that S2/E4 Crackers Don't Matter is really funny. Didn't expect Scorpius to tell Crichton that they would go to the beach together. And having Pilot talk about how much humans suck was pretty funny.

Only thing I can't get over with is how Rygel is just forgiven, with no consequences, when he betrays the crew at the end of S1. How can you ever trust someone like that again? I guess it's part of being a 90s show.

You are at just the start of S2 then. Hehehehehehe.

Most people rate the episode rather high, but it lays the groundwork for my laughing earlier.

They never trusted Rygel, so it doesn't really change anything. Expecting Rygel to anything less would be utterly foolish. They do learn to trust him, eventually, but it's at an arm's reach. I think a lot of it is that Rygel has to learn to not being an unscruplus bastard.

A thought that has legitimately popped into my head a couple of times, when surfing Pluto or whatever service has it now: "It would be fun to watch Farscape but it's just so serialized, I'd have to watch a bunch"

It's not impossible to just watch a few scattered episodes, some do quite well on their own, it's just, um, why would you want to?
