(He, Him)
Does the evil businessman have his cronies drive a monster truck over a poor defenseless used car salesman’s inventory to really drive home how evil he is in the remake?

The Wages of Fear, the original version, is one of my favorites.Sorcerer rarely streams so when it showed up on Criterion, I had to watch it again. Man, what a wonderfully intense movie.
Sorry to Bother You is an all-time great, I fuckin' love that movie. He's also in a western called The Harder They Fall, which is worth checking out, and he's in Judas and the Black Messiah, which I haven't seen yet.I would recommend checking out almost any movie featuring LaKeith Stanfield. Particularly Sorry to Bother You (he's also got a supporting role Knives Out where he does a lot with a role that is not much).
I did! It's incredible. Although I never did get around to the final two seasons. I'd moved in with my girlfriend by the time they came out and she's not super into the show, so I haven't had much of a chance to watch them. Not a movie, but LaKeith is crazy good in Atlanta and it's a cryin' shame nobody watched that show
If you’re going to watch just one movie about a newspaper guy who sucks real bad, consider Citizen Kane
You may just discover that it ain’t bad.
Also made for a fun boardgame.Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999)
Every Saga has a Beginning
Took a rare trip the theater to see Star Wars on Star Wars Day. The Phantom Menace is a personal favorite of mine.
I was surprised at how well the FX work held up. There are certain shots that do not look great by today's standards, but for the most part I was drawn into the world and the fx worked and felt exciting.
The senate scenes are kind of boring and there is some terrible dialog, but for the most part I have so much fun with this movie that I largely look past its shortcomings.
The pod race is still excellent. The sound team had a lot of fun with Doppler sound fx during the pod race sequence.
Episode 1 also had the impossible task of making a villain that measures up to screen icon Darth Vader. I think the EP1 team came real close to matching Darth Vader. Darth Maul's visual design is amazing and Ray Park's combat movement is a joy to watch. The light saber duel with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan and Darth Maul remains my favorite duel in the entire Star Wars saga.
It was nice to re-visit an old favorite and find out it still makes me smile.
