One is the loneliest number... but with two, you'll never be alone. Hey ya'll! It's me, Johnny Unusual and today we are going to celebrate things that come in twos, whether they be attractive opposites or in sync (not to be confused with N SYNC, who are, in fact, not a duo). Now we've done sort of a duo based list with fictional romantic couples but with this one, we are going to get a little broader; things we love that come in twos! Mostly, I'm thinking in terms of people and/or characters but I do invite you to think outside the box on this one, if that makes it more fun for you. After all, Valentine's day maybe over but it's a perfect time to celebrate love, whether it be true blue or charmingly begrudging.

Now if you haven't done this before, here's how it works.

A) Send a list of your top 25 duos. You are free to send a smaller list if you want but I will say my personal preference is a full list if possible.
B) PM me your list. And keep it a secret from the other players. It's more fun if people aren't gaming the system or knowing what's coming..
C) I'll tally everyone's list and make a composite list of 50 duos.

And here are the rules:
1) Entries must include more than one and less than three or four. Five is right out.
2) This can include people and characters real or fictional. What if (and I hesitate to use an example as to allow you to feel clever about it) you have something you feel qualifies as a duo that doesn't fit that prescription. Then go for it.
3) Mostly, I want things that are specifically known for being together. There have been good episodes where Homer might hang out with Smithers and they can have fun chemistry but really we don't see them together that much.
4) Conversely, these duos don't ALWAYS need to include entries that are exclusively hanging out. I do want ones that we bring together in our minds but some have rich lives outside of duo-hood. Look, I know there is a LOT of wiggle room. Just try to honour what you feel the spirit of the concept is and follow your heart/bliss.
5) Team Rocket is not a duo. They have Meowth.

Well, the deadline is March 1st, at Midnight. Please remember it and I hope everyone takes part. I'm hoping to get at least 15 lists. That's the magic number for these things, I find.

Always the hardest part.

I will say I thought of a great one but could not kick anything else off my list for it. I feel like you might feel the same; I've yet to see it on a list and you might not even change your list for it but I think a lot of people might think "oh, that's a good one."

Two more days. Based on what people are telling me, unless something comes up for someone, it looks like I'm going to hit the threshold but that's just my preferred minimum. The more the merrier.

I don't want to give to much away but I am loving this list so far. People are coming up with some cool creative ideas and I feel that the pairings are just, like, wonderfully diverse. Just doing a quick glance, I have no clue who will take the top spot which is rare this far in. A good kind of rare. It's exciting.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the broad categories of things shake out! Only five of mine were food, and I did submit a full 25.

Yeah, I had a similarly long draft list, and I had a really tough time trimming this one down. Killing your darlings is a whole new ballgame when you're trying to decide between real people, fictional characters, food, etc.
